Solar Roofer – Overview
We are currently working with a Renewable Energy company based in Portsmouth area who are looking for Solar Roofers to join their team. The business has been running since 2007 and has grown to a current turnover of £10 million. They have experienced massive growth in recent years and are looking to expand their offering of Solar PV Installations to their customers throughout Hampshire.
The business focuses on ‘whole house retrofit’. They retrofit heat systems including boilers and heat pumps, insulation, and solar PV & battery storage. Your role will be attending domestic properties throughout mainly the Hampshire area (though they do go into Surrey and Berkshire on occasion) to install solar panels on private domestic properties.
You will work alongside an electrician, cutting the tiles, attaching the railings, and running the DC cables while the electrician wires, tests, and commissions the system. You will only ever carry out one job per day.
If you are interested, they can also train you up on other works such as assisting on heat pump installations and other works. You will also carry out remedial works when required on existing systems.
This is a mobile role, so a full UK licence is required. They have a substantial amount of work in Havant, Portsmouth, Fareham, Gosport areas, so someone local to their office would be advantageous.

* Salary of £35,000 - £38,000
