Overview
An exciting opportunity within the in-patient therapy team at QEQM. We are looking for a Band 6 Occupational Therapist with a passion for working in Trauma and Orthopaedics. This is a permanent post and is part-time (18.75 hours per week).
Responsibilities
* Assessment, diagnosis, treatment and evaluation of holistic therapy intervention for patients on the Trauma and Orthopaedic wards.
* Work as part of a multidisciplinary team across the Trauma and Orthopaedic wards; collaborate with physiotherapists.
* Work independently and delegate appropriately to Band 4 assistant practitioners.
* Contribute to development of the service and support staff through the appraisal process.
* Access supervision and appraisals to develop clinical, management and leadership skills.
* Support embedding the "we care" values in everyday practice with individualized care plans.
Requirements / What you’ll need
* Current registration as an Occupational Therapist with the governing body.
* Experience in Trauma and Orthopaedics (preferred).
* Ability to work independently and in a team; willing to engage in CPD and development opportunities.
* Part-time availability (18.75 hours/week).
* Note: Sponsorship not offered for this role due to part-time vacancy and salary threshold.
