Assistant Accountant Job Description: We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Accountant to join our Banking & Intercompany team within the European Shared Service Centre. This role supports the management of bank accounts, cashflows, and intercompany transactions across multiple Sage entities, while contributing to wider finance initiatives and process improvements. Working collaboratively across Finance, Treasury, Tax, and Shared Service functions, you will ensure the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of financial data to support strategic decision-making. This position provides a strong foundation for professional growth within a global finance environment. This is a hybrid role that will work in the office 3 days a week and 2 from home. Key Responsibilities: - Maintain accurate bank postings, reconciliations, and cashflow forecasts. - Manage intercompany balances and funding to ensure timely settlement and compliance. - Process intercompany invoices and support monthly balance sheet reconciliations. - Assist with internal and external audits, ensuring documentation accuracy and completeness. - Contribute to finance-led initiatives, including European banking projects and M&A activity. Skills & Experience - AAT qualified or degree educated in Finance, Accounting, or a related equivalent experience. - Experience in a finance or accounting role within a shared service or corporate environment desirable. - Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and strong analytical skills. - Excellent communication and collaboration skills with strong attention to detail. - Proactive, organised, and committed to continuous learning and development.
