This school is looking for a nurturing and enthusiastic Year 1/2 Teacher to join a caring and creative team. Duties as a Year 1/2 Teacher:
1. Plan and deliver engaging, inclusive lessons in line with the KS1 curriculum
2. Support the transition from the Early Years into more structured learning
3. Promote early literacy, numeracy, and personal development through creative and child-centred teaching
4. Use assessment effectively to support progress and provide tailored feedback
5. Create a safe, supportive, and stimulating classroom environment
6. Work collaboratively with colleagues, teaching assistants, and parents
Ideal Year 1/2 Teacher:
1. A qualified teacher (QTS) with a passion for Key Stage 1 education
2. A creative and adaptable teaching style that supports a range of learning needs
3. Excellent knowledge of the KS1 national curriculum and assessment
4. A caring, reflective practitioner with strong classroom management skills
5. Someone committed to high expectations and a growth mindset for all pupils
