SEND Teacher – Permanent Position
Location: South Gloucestershire
A highly reputable, award-winning group of special educational needs (SEN) schools is seeking a passionate and dedicated SEND Teacher to join the permanent staff team at one of their schools in South Gloucestershire. Key Responsibilities:
* Plan, deliver, and evaluate engaging lessons tailored to the needs of students with SEND.
* Develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and personalised learning strategies.
* Monitor and assess student progress, adapting teaching approaches to meet individual needs.
* Work collaboratively with colleagues, therapists, and external agencies to support student development.
* Promote positive behaviour, wellbeing, and social development within the classroom.
* Maintain accurate records and reports in line with school policies and statutory requirements.
Requirements:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
* Proven experience teaching students with SEND in a school setting.
* Strong understanding of current SEN legislation, guidance, and best practice.
* Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
* Ability to differentiate learning and employ innovative teaching strategies.
* Commitment to promoting inclusion, student wellbeing, and academic achievement.
* Collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
