Job Description:
Liquid Personnel is recruiting an experienced and dedicated Social Worker to join its client’s Children in Need Team based in Leicester.
What will your responsibilities be?
1. Carry out Child in Need assessments to determine the level of support required.
2. Develop and implement Child in Need plans in collaboration with families and professionals.
3. Coordinate services such as housing, education, and health to meet the child’s needs.
4. Monitor progress and review plans regularly to ensure effectiveness.
5. Work with children who may be disabled, young carers, homeless, or affected by parental issues (e.g. imprisonment, substance misuse).
6. Promote the child’s welfare while supporting family stability.
7. Engage with families on a voluntary basis, unless safeguarding concerns arise.
8. Liaise with multi-agency teams including schools, health professionals, and voluntary organisations.
Qualifications and Experience:
To be successful in this role you must have:
9. Social Work England registration
10. Eligible to work in the UK
11. Hold a full UK driving licence
12. Post-qualified experience
13. Degree level or equivalent in Social Work
