About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Transport Planner to join our Birmingham-based team, focusing on Development Planning. You will play a key role in shaping transport strategies that support new developments, contributing to the delivery of sustainable and accessible transport solutions across a range of residential, commercial, and mixed-use projects.

Key Responsibilities:
* Prepare and coordinate Transport Assessments, Transport Statements, Travel Plans, and Delivery & Servicing Plans for planning applications.
* Undertake and interpret junction capacity modelling (e.g., using Junctions 10, LinSig, VISSIM or similar).
* Provide transport input into masterplans, site layouts, and access strategies .
* Support with public consultations, stakeholder engagement, and responding to transport-related planning queries.
* Analyse and present transport data using GIS, TRICS, TEMPro, or similar datasets/tools.
* Stay informed on local and national planning policy, guidance, and best practice.
Qualifications and Experience:
* A degree in Transport Planning, Civil Engineering, Geography, Urban Planning, or a related discipline.
* 2-5 years’ experience in transport planning, ideally with a focus on development planning.
* Experience working with planning applications and familiarity with the UK planning system.
* Proficiency in modelling tools (e.g., ARCADY, PICADY, LinSig, or VISSIM).
* Strong report writing and communication skills.
* Excellent data analysis and presentation skills.
* Ability to manage time effectively and work to deadlines.
