An exciting opportunity has arisen within CAMHS for an experienced and enthusiastic RMN/RNLD/RNCYP qualified Nurse to join the team.
If you have a genuine interest in CAMHS then this is a great opportunity to join a large dynamic multidisciplinary team. Our CAMHS team is an inclusive, values based multi-disciplinary team which includes; Nursing, Clinicians, Psychotherapists, Clinical and Applied Psychologists, Play Therapists, Allied Health Professionals, Psychiatrists, Administration, Business and Support Staff. Our team ethos promotes patient-centred care, efficiency and a culture that values, enables and develops staff.
The post holder will have clinical responsibility for their own caseload and will operate within the context of the current CAMHS delivery model, Choice and Partnership Approach (CAPA) which is supporting the service to focus on improving access to psychological therapies for children and young people.
The successful candidate will need to be able to show an aptitude for working with children and young people, families, colleagues and other stakeholders. Also evidence of ongoing professional development and the ability to be flexible and adaptable to the changing needs of the service.
CAMHS experience would be valuable but not essential as a full training and supervision package is offered to build individuals confidence and capabilities. This includes Essential CAMHS (a mix of online and local face to face training modules) and the NES one year CAMHS Development Programme (a mix of training modules, online and face to face in Edinburgh). Tailored supportive line management alongside one to one and multi-disciplinary supervision structures are also in place to support professional development, reflection and growth.
There is an established dynamic monthly CPD programme with a local CAMHS training group driving forward staff and team development, including dedicated time for learning opportunities.
