About the Opportunity
An established and highly respected Mechanical & Electrical engineering company is seeking an experienced Site Mechanical Engineer to join its growing team. The business delivers high-quality service, maintenance, and repair solutions across a wide range of industrial and commercial environments.
This role is primarily site-based, covering a local area (within approximately 50 miles), and is ideal for a hands-on engineer who enjoys problem-solving, working independently, and engaging directly with clients.
Key Responsibilities
Service, maintain, and repair pumps, motors, fans, and rotating equipment
Carry out bearing replacements and mechanical seal changes
Remove, install, and replace mechanical units as required
Service pumping stations, including sewage systems and associated equipment
Lift pumps, clear blockages, and ensure correct operation of float switches and control gear
Diagnose faults and carry out effective on-site repairs
Work directly with customer representatives on-site
Ensure all work is completed in line with health & safety regulations
What Theyre Looking For
Proven experience working with pumps, motors, and rotating equipment
Strong knowledge of inverters, electrical systems, and control panels
Experience working on-site and liaising with customers
Ability to work at height and in confined spaces (training provided if required)
Full UK driving licence
Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach
Good communication skills and a professional attitude
