White Horse Employment are partnering with a market leading, commercially driven organisation based in Chippenham to recruit a credit controller into the growing team.
This is more than just a credit control role. You'll take ownership of key areas of the debtor ledger, play a vital role in protecting cash flow, and contribute to strengthening processes across the wider finance function.
You'll work closely with operational and sales teams, building strong internal and external relationships while driving timely collections and reducing risk.
Key Responsibilities
Proactively manage and reduce aged debt
Contact customers via phone and email to resolve outstanding balances
Negotiate payment plans and manage high-value accounts
Reconcile customer accounts and investigate discrepancies
Conduct credit checks and support new customer onboarding
Recommend account holds where financial risk arises
Collaborate with internal departments to resolve payment queries
Contribute to process improvements to enhance efficiency and cash performance
What We're Looking For
Proven experience in credit control and debtor ledger management
Confident communicator with strong negotiation skills
Highly organised with strong attention to detail
Comfortable managing high volumes and prioritising workload
Strong Excel skills and experience using finance systems
Understanding of credit control best practice and GDPR compliance
