Job Description:
As a Senior Housing Support Worker, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the day-to-day operations of housing support services.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
* Providing leadership and guidance to a team of housing support workers.
* Conducting regular team meetings to share updates, address concerns, and promote a collaborative working environment.
* Overseeing the assessment, planning, and implementation of support plans for residents.
* Conducting regular reviews to ensure that support plans align with residents' evolving needs.
* Providing a supportive and empowering environment that promotes residents' independence and well-being.
* Responding effectively to crisis situations, working closely with the team to de-escalate and resolve issues.
* Maintaining a calm and composed demeanour during challenging situations.
* Preparing regular reports on the progress and challenges within the housing support program.
Requirements:
* Relevant qualification in social work, housing support, or a related field.
* Experience working in a housing support role.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills.
* Ability to communicate effectively with residents, team members, and external stakeholders.
* Genuine empathy and compassion for individuals facing housing challenges.
* Ability to build trust and establish rapport with residents.

* Willingness to complete an enhanced DBS if you do not currently hold one.
