Voids Maintenance Officer – Contract Position (3 months)
Hours - 36 Per Week
Pay - £18.84 Per hour PAYE (Inc Holiday) | £24.03 Per hour LTD
The Role
Are you an experienced Building Operative with Voids knowledge looking for an exciting contract opportunity? We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Individual to join our client on a 3-month placement. If you have a passion for maintenance, property management, and delivering excellent service, this could be the perfect role for you!
You will be responsible for managing the maintenance and repair of void properties, ensuring they are restored to a lettable condition efficiently and to a high standard. Your role will be vital in maintaining the quality of housing stock and ensuring tenant satisfaction.
Candidate Responsibilities – As a Voids Maintenance Officer, your core responsibilities will include:
Conducting inspections on void properties to assess repair needs
Coordinating and overseeing maintenance and repair works
Managing contractors and ensuring timely completion of works
Ensuring properties meet health, safety, and quality standards
Liaising with tenants and internal teams to facilitate smooth turnovers
Maintaining detailed repair records and updating property management systems
Managing budgets and ensuring cost-effective solutions
Candidate Requirements – The ideal candidate for the Voids Maintenance Officer position will possess:
Experience in property maintenance, ideally within social or council housing
Knowledge of building regulations and safety standards
Strong organisational and communication skills
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Proficiency in property management software (desired)
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
