Attenborough Learning Trust is seeking an experienced and ambitious HR & Communications Manager to play a key role in delivering our people strategy and supporting the continued growth and success of our schools.
This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled HR professional who is passionate about people, employee engagement and organisational culture.
Working closely with the Head of HR & Communications, you will provide expert advice to leaders across the Trust, manage complex employee relations matters and help develop communications that strengthen engagement, collaboration and organisational effectiveness.

About the Role:
The HR & Communications Manager will:
•Provide expert HR advice and guidance to Headteachers, leaders and managers across the Trust.
•Manage a diverse employee relations caseload, including disciplinary, grievance, capability, absence management and performance matters.
•Support and advise managers through investigations, hearings, appeals and formal consultation processes.
•Develop leadership capability through coaching, guidance and training.
•Support the implementation of the Trust's People Strategy and workforce initiatives.
•Lead and support staff engagement, wellbeing and recognition activities.
•Analyse workforce data and provide insights to support strategic decision-making.
•Develop engaging internal communications that keep staff informed, connected and aligned with Trust priorities.
•Produce high-quality communications and marketing materials that promote the Trust's values and achievements.
•Support organisational change, cultural development and school onboarding activities as the Trust continues to grow.
•Coordinate stakeholder complaint resolution, ensuring concerns are managed effectively and in line with Trust procedures, and support due diligence processes for schools exploring Trust membership.
•Support due diligence and onboarding processes for schools joining the Trust, ensuring effective stakeholder engagement and successful integration.
About You:
We are looking for an experienced HR professional who can build strong relationships, provide credible advice and positively influence stakeholders at all levels.
You will have:
•CIPD Level 5 qualification (or equivalent experience), be working towards or committed to undertake the qualification.
•Significant experience within an HR environment.
•Strong employee relations case management experience.
•Sound knowledge of employment law and HR best practice.
•Excellent communication, interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
•Experience of developing communications, engagement initiatives or organisational development projects.
•Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
•The ability to manage sensitive and confidential matters with professionalism and discretion.
•A collaborative approach and commitment to continuous improvement.
Experience within the education sector would be advantageous, although applications from candidates with transferable experience from other sectors are welcomed.
