The Role
As the Domestic Services Manager, you will lead the delivery of high‑quality domestic services across the school. Specifically, you will manage our cleaning, laundry and portering teams, and ensure the smooth and efficient running of all domestic operations. You will make sure high standards of cleanliness, presentation and customer service are maintained across the school’s facilities while managing the recruitment, training and performance of your team.
Working closely with Houseparents, the Commercial Lettings Manager and other key stakeholders, you will also co‑ordinate cleaning and portering support for large‑scale school events and residential lets.
Responsibilities
 * Co‑ordinate staffing and logistics for school and external events
 * Manage waste contracts, stock control and budgets
 * Ensure compliance with health, safety, and quality standards
 * Build effective relationships with suppliers and contractors
Qualifications
 * Significant experience of leading a large team within a similar industry
 * Proven experience of budget setting, monitoring and effective cost control
 * The ability to produce cleaner work schedules, risk assessments and Safe Systems of Work
 * Strong employee management skills
 * Excellent organisational, interpersonal and communication skills

 * Salary of £35,000 – £40,000 per annum, depending on experience
