Salary: Unqualified: £21,731 - £33,902 per year | Qualified: £31,650 - £43,607 per year
Wolverhampton is seeking a vibrant and diverse Local Authority Music Service to recruit a woodwind teacher to support the delivery of the Service objectives aligned with the new National Plan for Music Education and the emerging Black Country Music Hub.
The ideal candidate will be an experienced instrumental teacher with specialization in clarinet and the ability to provide tuition on various other woodwind instruments, particularly double reed instruments. We welcome applications from both qualified and unqualified teachers.
The role involves supporting and developing existing teaching through Whole Class Instrumental Teaching (WCIT), small group tuition, ensemble leadership, and workshops.
The contract will be offered under teachers’ terms and conditions with some locally agreed variations. Wolverhampton Music Service is part of the Teachers’ Pension Scheme.
This is a full-time position adhering to school term dates, with an annual 20% variability clause. The post is subject to an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
