Birmingham City Councils Careline Service offers a technology enabled care service to circa 9,000 citizens living in their own homes across the city.
We are looking for creative, flexible, and resilient individuals to join our dynamic frontline service that supports the safety and wellbeing of our residents and customers 24 hours a day, 365 days per year.
While experience in a technology enabled care service, or working with older and vulnerable people would be beneficial, it is not essential.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide frontline intervention and prevention in the delivery of a 24/7 Assistive Technology Enabled Care service.
* Monitoring and responding to mobile or technology enable care equipment for vulnerable or elderly citizens living in their own home and requiring assistance in the event of an emergency.
* Maintain accurate records of all calls received and clients’ data using the computer by inputting, interrogating and retrieving information. Maintain the hard copy and manual records systems used for all functions of the operating centre.
Due to the nature of this service, the postholder will work a rolling rota covering 24 hours per day, 365 days per year. This will cover an average of 36.5 hours per week on a rotating shift basis, including all public/extra statutory and concessionary days.
The postholder will be based on site located at Holt Court, Birmingham, B7.
