About the role
Our Republic of Ireland eCommerce team sits within the ROI Trading function and is responsible for driving forward the digital growth strategy for Boots.ie, covering performance marketing channels such as SEO, PPC and Affiliates.
We're looking for an SEO Assistant to support the SEO Specialist in delivering the Boots.ie SEO strategy, helping to keep the site discoverable, technically robust, and optimised for growth. Working with our agency partner and cross-functionally across Trading, Merchandising, and Digital Experience teams, you'll contribute to initiatives that enhance visibility, drive traffic, and improve customer experience across key product categories, supporting wider commercial and trading objectives.

Responsibilities
* Conduct keyword research and competitor analysis using tools such as SEMrush, Ahrefs, Google Keyword Planner, or Similarweb to identify trends and organic growth opportunities
* Support the optimisation of on-page elements across Boots.ie (titles, metadata, headings, content, internal linking, etc.), in line with SEO best practices
* Support monitoring and analysis of SEO performance using GA4, Search Console, and other analytics tools, identifying key drivers of growth and areas for improvement
* Collaborate cross-functionally to deliver large-scale seasonal and evergreen SEO campaigns that align with commercial priorities, ensuring data and best practices inform decisions
* Help to perform technical SEO audits using tools such as Screaming Frog or Lumar, and support in resolving site issues such as broken links and crawling & indexation errors
* Keep up to date with search trends, algorithm updates, and emerging best practices to inform the Boots.ie SEO roadmap
* Support with reporting on organic KPIs such as traffic, revenue, rankings, etc, ensuring insights are clear and actionable
What you\'ll need to have
* Demonstrable experience working with a website CMS (e.g. AEM, WordPress, Wix, or Webflow)
* Hands-on exposure to both content and technical SEO
* Analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and surface meaningful insights
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* A collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively with multiple teams
* A proactive, organised, and commercially aware approach
It\'d be great if you also have
* Experience running your own website or SEO project
* You\'re comfortable using AI tools to enhance your workflow
* Experience working in healthcare, retail, or other regulated environments
