Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to lead the AP function across two business entities, operating within a multi-currency framework. Reporting to the Financial Controller, this role will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the accounts payable cycle-from invoice processing to supplier payments-while ensuring robust controls, timely reporting, and process optimisation.
Key Responsibilities
* Set up of new and maintenance of existing supplier accounts in Xero in accordance with internal procedures, including processing new supplier forms.
* Process supplier invoices and credit notes, ensuring they have the necessary department approval, are coded to the appropriate accounts, and apply the proper VAT treatment.
* Monitor and manage the accounts payable and finance inboxes, ensuring that all incoming invoices and queries from suppliers, as well as queries from other departments, are promptly addressed.
* Reconciling all the bank accounts and credit cards (multi currency: GBP, USD and EUR).
* Take ownership of Pleo (expense management), including daily monitoring of transactions, following up with users to ensure all invoices are uploaded and correctly coded.
* Assist with the rollout of Yooz, an AP automation software, ensuring smooth implementation and user compliance across all departments.
* Support the finance team with ad hoc tasks as needed.
Candidate Profile
Required Skills & Experience
* Solid track record in senior accounts payable roles, ideally in a stock-based business.
* Familiarity with multi-currency processing and intercompany accounting.
