Project Sales Engineer -Kent, Sussex, Sth London
THE ROLE: As a Project Sales Engineer, you will be selling a range of internal and external lighting products and controls in the South London and Kent and Sussex area. You will spend your time identifying, winning and managing project specifications with M&E Consultants, Contractors and some wholesalers. Contractor relationships are key to unravelling new opportunities and they already have a good amount of warm customers in this area to build on. Their areas of specialism include design and build within London Office as well as Education, Retail and branching out into Data Centres. Candidates who have good project experience in Data Centres or NHS projects would be highly attractive. You will be influencing the design, delivery and installation of those lighting projects with Main and M&E Contractors in your region. As part of a close knit and energetic team, they are looking for good face to face selling and rapport skills, someone willing to learn and work hard and someone who collaborates and works well in a lean organisation. Ideally someone will have sold to M&E Contractors before and understand the route to market. Someone with the ability to interpret technical plans, and communicate with design and project engineers will have an advantage. This is a long sales cycle to identify, win and manage lighting projects so patience and attention to detail is key. The position will require you to deliver CPD presentations, tendering and project management as well as strong relationship building at all levels of the sales cycle. However, there is good team support and product training for all candidates.

We are looking for individuals who meet the following criteria:
·2 years or more working in either a lighting design/project based role or a sales role within lighting or the wider electrical sector
·Understanding of M&E Consultants & Contractors - could have sold to them or worked for an electrical contractor or wholesaler in a commercial or technical role.
·Ability to manage a pipeline of projects and long sales cycle
·A consultative, driven and professional salesperson with good attention to detail
·Understanding of electrical or technical drawings/technical aptitude is desirable but not essential.
Salary: up to £65,000 basic salary for experienced specification sales people, plus strong open ended OTE, company hybrid car or allowance, mobile, laptop, 25 days holiday, pension scheme
