Job Description
3. Lead the production of monthly management accounts, forecasts and insightful variance analysis
4. Prepare annual budgets and support quarterly reforecasting
5. Manage cashflow, financial modelling and longer‑term financial planning
6. Oversee all ledgers, balance sheet reconciliations and month‑end processes
7. Produce statutory accounts and liaise with auditors
8. Complete VAT returns (partial exemption experience beneficial but not essential)
9. Manage payroll processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance
10. Support non‑finance managers with budgets, business cases and costings
11. Review financial performance, provide challenge, and present reports to senior stakeholders
12. Line manage and develop members of the finance team
The Successful Applicant
13. A confident Finance Manager (or strong Assistant FM stepping up) with hands‑on experience in both management accounting and financial control
14. Able to interpret financial information for non‑finance colleagues, communicating clearly and constructively
15. Strong Excel user with excellent analytical skills
16. Organised, detail‑driven and comfortable managing multiple deadlines
17. Supportive, approachable and team‑focused with natural coaching ability
18. Experience within a values‑led or multi‑stakeholder environment is advantageous but not essential
19. Part‑qualified, fully qualified or qualified by experience - attitude and capability matter most
