GSL Education is seeking a qualified teacher to join a supportive and innovative independent special school on a full-time basis. This is a maternity cover position starting in May, providing an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on pupils’ learning and personal development.
About the Role:
* Deliver high-quality teaching to upper primary and lower secondary students.
* Plan and implement life skills and core curriculum lessons, tailored to the needs of individual pupils.
* Support pupils’ personal, social, and emotional development within a structured and nurturing environment.
* Work closely with teaching assistants and other professionals to ensure consistent, effective support.
* Assess, monitor, and report on pupil progress, adapting lessons to meet diverse learning needs.
* Contribute to a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment.

The Ideal Candidate:
* Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
* Experience teaching upper primary and lower secondary students.
* Knowledge of life skills, SEMH, or alternative curriculum provision.
* Ability to differentiate teaching to meet a range of learning needs.
* Strong organisational and communication skills.
* A calm, adaptable, and patient approach, with a commitment to pupils’ wellbeing.
