Band 6 CT Radiographer – Fixed Term (Job Summary)
We are seeking an enthusiastic and highly motivated Band 6 senior radiographer to join our CT radiology department across multiple sites. The role involves overseeing the safe, efficient, and high‑quality delivery of CT imaging services, working within the department and Trust protocols.
Responsibilities
* Participate in the effective running of the CT department, ensuring high quality patient care.
* Supervise and advise junior staff, students and assistant practitioners.
* Maintain and develop high standards of patient care for all imaging service users.
* Assist the Imaging Department team in achieving departmental and Trust objectives.
* Work flexibly across weekdays and weekends, and participate in out‑of‑hours standby rota, as the department operates 7 days a week.
Qualifications
* Education / Qualifications: Hold BSc in Diagnostic Radiography, College of Radiographers Diploma, or equivalent.
* Professional Registration: Current HCPC Registration.
* Experience / Knowledge (Essential): Proven post‑qualification experience in diagnostic radiography.
* Desirable: Previous experience working at Band 6 level.
* Desirable: Experience in cross‑sectional (CT) imaging.
Contract Details
* Band: 6
* Salary: £45,953 – £54,254 per annum (inclusive of allowances).
* Contract: Fixed term, 12 months (actual duration may be slightly shorter to account for recruitment processes).
* Working Pattern: Full‑time.
