We are looking for a Security Architect to join our Technology Architecture team at Morrisons. We recognise that the strongest security often starts with world class infrastructure design. Whether you are an established Security Architect or a Senior Network/Infrastructure Architect looking to pivot your expertise into a security first leadership role, we want to hear from you.
In this role, you won't just be checking boxes, you’ll be the master designer of our digital defense, translating complex business needs into elegant, secure abstractions.
What you’ll do:
* Lead the conceptual planning and design of enterprise security frameworks, moving beyond the "how" to define the "why."
* Shape "Secure by Design" practices, ensuring our network, cloud, and DevOps environments are resilient from the ground up.
* Translate high level business goals into robust Security Reference Architectures that the engineering teams can execute.
* Use your deep understanding of traffic flow and system dependencies to conduct risk based assessments and predictive threat modeling.
* Oversee the architectural integrity of firewalls, WAFs, IAM, and Zero Trust models across a sprawling, multi-cloud estate.
* Act as the bridge between technical engineering, vendor partners, and enterprise stakeholders.
We value the ability to think in systems and flows. You are likely a fit if you have a background in designing complex, large scale IT environments and possess a natural "security first" mindset.
You’ll bring:
* Proven experience in Infrastructure or Network Architecture, with a talent for creating conceptual designs and long term roadmaps.
* Hands on architectural experience with major platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
* The ability to move between low level technical configurations and high level enterprise strategy.
* A solid grasp of (or the desire to master) frameworks like NIST CSF, ISO27001, or CIS.
* Relevant certifications (CISSP, CISA, CCDE, or equivalent architectural credentials) are a plus.
