Rate of Pay: £14.19- £18.52 per hour
Summary:
The Recruitment Support Officer is a pivotal role within the Cardiff Council Fostering Team, dedicated to driving the recruitment of new foster carers for Foster Wales Cardiff. This role is highly public-facing and focuses on strategic outreach, public engagement, and promotional activities. The successful candidate will be the initial point of contact for potential applicants, responsible for planning and executing events, disseminating crucial information, and nurturing interest through follow-up communications. The goal is to build and maintain a strong pipeline of suitable fostering applicants.
Responsibilities:
Plan, coordinate, and execute a calendar of local outreach events, information sessions, and public engagement opportunities to promote fostering across the city.
Represent Foster Wales Cardiff confidently at all public events, acting as an enthusiastic and knowledgeable ambassador for the fostering service.
Serve as the initial point of contact for all fostering inquiries, providing clear, comprehensive, and accurate information about the different types of fostering available (e.g., short-term, long-term, emergency).
Contribute to the development and implementation of recruitment campaigns and promotional activities aimed at raising the profile of fostering and attracting a diverse range of applicants.
Contribute to regular reports on recruitment activities, applicant numbers, and conversion rates to inform future strategy.
Essentials:
Proven confidence and ability to effectively represent an organization at public events and gatherings.
The ability to communicate clearly, persuasively, and empathetically with members of the public, professionals, and internal stakeholders, both verbally and in writing.
Experience in Marketing and/or Promotional Campaigns, particularly in an outreach or public engagement capacity.
Excellent planning and coordination abilities, particularly in managing the logistics of multiple events and follow-up activities.
