The Role
Main duties and responsibilities:
The Multiskilled Engineer is responsible for achieving and communicating operational targets within their area of responsibility, both within their own team and across the wider organisation. They will work with team members to understand site performance and contribute positively to achieving targets, identifying areas for improvement.
This role requires working a rotating shift pattern, Monday to Friday.
Key focus areas include:
* OEE
* Service
* Quality
* OTIF
* Downtime - planned maintenance
* Stock Levels
* Complaints reduction
* SSOW/SOPs
* Safety Conversations
* Audits
* Fix it once, fix it right (MTBF and MTTR measures)
The Engineer will oversee activities within their area, including supervising contractors, leading breakdown resolution, sourcing parts, performing electrical and mechanical installations, and ensuring safety and compliance standards are met. They will also use SAP for maintenance tracking, maintain housekeeping standards, and participate in audits and safety protocols.
Skill & Experience
Candidates should have experience in a production or service environment, preferably in Print or FMCG, with electrical/mechanical maintenance and faultfinding skills. Ability to use PLC I/O diagnostics, work independently, and provide excellent customer service is essential. Flexibility for travel and commitment to ongoing training are also required.
