They have two bases one in Ower, just off Junction 2 of M27 and one in Salisbury, on the Churchfields Industrial Estate. About the Position
Our client is seeking a skilled and reliable HGV Driver to join their team. You will be responsible for the safe, timely delivery of fencing materials to customers, including trade, retail, and schools. This role requires a professional approach, excellent driving standards, and compliance with all relevant legislation and safety requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Driving & Deliveries:
* Operate an HGV Class C / Class 2 vehicle in line with legal and safety regulations.
* Complete multi-drop deliveries across Hampshire, Wiltshire, and surrounding areas.
* Load and secure goods to ensure safe transport.
* Conduct pre-use vehicle checks and complete relevant documentation.
* Use a digital tachograph and comply with all Driver CPC requirements.
* Maintain accurate delivery records and paperwork.
Customer Interaction:
* Provide a professional and courteous service to customers at all times.
* Communicate effectively with customers to confirm delivery details and resolve any issues.
Hours:
* Monday to Thursday between 7:30am to 5pm with 1 hour break.
* Friday between 7:30am to 4:30pm with 1 hour break.
* 1 in 6 Saturdays between 8am to 12pm.
What They're Looking For:
* HGV Class C / Class 2 Licence (essential).
* Valid Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) card (essential).
* Digital tachograph card (essential).
* Minimum 1 year Class 2 driving experience (essential).
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
* Good geographical knowledge of Hampshire, Wiltshire, and surrounding areas.
* HIAB licence (essential).
* Forklift licence (desirable but not essential).
* Physically fit and able to assist with safe loading/unloading when required.
