Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced RICS Chartered Valuation Surveyor to play a pivotal role in managing our diverse property portfolio. This is an opportunity to contribute to the economic vitality of Neath Port Talbot by providing expert valuation and property advice that shapes development and enhances public assets.
This position is ideal for a proactive professional who thrives on challenge and wants to see their expertise translate into real-world results within a supportive, forward-thinking team.
This post is a maternity cover until 1/2/2026.
Responsibilities include:
* Leading complex valuations for asset, capital accounting, rating, and insurance purposes.
* Managing and negotiating acquisitions, disposals, and lease agreements.
* Providing financial appraisals and valuation advice for council projects.
* Managing land and property assets to optimize use and deliver community value.
* Offering professional advice on property-related inquiries to colleagues and stakeholders.
About you:
* RICS Chartered Surveyor with a background in General Practice.
* RICS Registered Valuer for statutory valuations.
* Experienced in property transactions and negotiations, with understanding of the public sector.
* Excellent communicator able to convey complex information clearly.
* Team player proactive within a professional team.
* Proficient with IT, including Microsoft Office.
