Role & Responsibilities
* Deliver whole class teaching during teacher PPA, management time, or in their absence.
* Lead small-group and 1:1 intervention to support targeted learners (SEND, EAL, catch-up, etc.).
* Support classroom teachers with planning, assessment, and preparation of lessons.
* Monitor and assess pupil progress, providing feedback and adapting activities as needed.
* Establish strong and positive relationships with pupils, promoting engagement, independence, and positive behaviour.
* Work collaboratively with SENCOs, teachers, and other TAs to ensure all pupils’ needs are met.
* Contribute to an inclusive, safe, and stimulating learning environment.
Person Specification / What You Will Bring
* HLTA status or equivalent (Level 4 qualification or relevant experience)
* Proven experience working in a UK primary school, preferably across KS2 (but EYFS / KS1 experience is also beneficial)
* Strong understanding of the KS2 national curriculum.
* Excellent classroom management and behaviour-management skills.
* Ability to deliver structured learning and adapt resources to meet pupil needs.
* Good communication skills, both with children and adults (teachers, parents, staff).
* An enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one) in line with safeguarding requirements.
