New 3-19 Additional Learning Needs School
DEPUTY HEADTEACHER
Salary: L16 – L20 (£73,426 - £80,865 Per Annum)
Start Date:1st January 2026 (or as soon as possible thereafter)

The temporary Governing Body of the new 3-19 Additional Learning Needs School is seeking to appoint a suitably qualified, inspirational and progressive Deputy Headteacher with effect from 1st January 2026 (or as soon as possible thereafter).
The successful applicant will play alongside the Temporary Executive Headteacher a lead role in the creation and implementation of a new staff structure, as well as organising the transition arrangements that will be crucial in establishing a new 3-19 ALN School. The new school will benefit from state-of-the-art facilities following a £41M Sustainable Communities for Learning investment and is planned for opening in the autumn term 2026.
We are seeking to create a nurturing, welcoming and friendly environment with a strong sense of community. Staff within our School should demonstrate a passion and commitment, through strong teamwork, that results in good learner outcomes and a positive and enjoyable learning experiences for our pupils.
Whilst the New ALN 3 – 19 School has a Temporary Executive Headteacher structure in place, the successful candidate will be given a temporary secondment to the position of Temporary Head of School, for the period of 1 September 2026 until 31 August 2027.
