We are seeking a Financial Planning and Analysis Accountant to join a global broking finance team. Based in London, this permanent role offers an annual salary of £80,000 - £110,000. The role involves shaping and elevating financial reporting, forecasting, and commercial insight capabilities. It is office-based 4 days a week with 1 day remote.
Requirements include:
* Professional finance qualification (CPA, ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
* Experience in FP&A, commercial finance, or management reporting.
* Understanding of financial principles, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
* Experience with large datasets and multiple source systems.
* Strong interpersonal skills for working with non-financial stakeholders.
Preferred experience includes working within trading, brokerage, or market-driven businesses (e.g., shipping, commodities, financial services). Familiarity with Workday, integrating financial and operational data, and setting up forecasting frameworks from scratch is highly desirable.
This hands-on role aims to improve and professionalize the FP&A function, including introducing structured forecasting and enhancing business performance insights through better data utilization. You will work closely with the CFO of Global Broking within a high-impact team, requiring strong technical reporting skills (Power BI, Excel), a commercial mindset, and the ability to engage with brokers, analysts, and MDs.
Key responsibilities include:
* Reporting and insight: Building reporting tools with ERP data, enhancing automation with Power BI, and analyzing business drivers with divisional teams.
* Forecasting and planning: Designing forecasting frameworks, supporting budgeting cycles, and developing models for future performance visibility.
* Business partnering: Building relationships with MDs and analysts, providing financial advice, and collaborating with market analysts.
* Systems and process improvement: Leveraging Workday and other tools for data extraction, supporting finance transformation, and improving financial processes.
* Strategic projects and expansion: Supporting M&A activities and evaluating strategic or ad-hoc projects related to growth and system upgrades.
