Opportunity to join a small, loyal team working across two GP sites in the towns of South Shields & Jarrow. This new role combines mostly high-end administrative duties with basic clinical skills (which can be taught in-house) and prospective certified learning as a GPA. This is NOT a hands-on care/carers/HCA role – it is classed as "non-clinical". We are open to filling a full-time or part-time position, depending on the candidate. Applicants must have worked in primary care and developed high-end administration skills typical of a GP practice.

Main duties
This is a fairly new role in primary care, aimed at utilising a range of high-end skills and experience to aid patient pathways and support the management team with behind-the-scenes administrative and auditing work. There is a requirement for some basic clinical skills to meet the wider remit of the role (which can be taught in-house when needed), along with a set training and assessment process in recognised GPA training certification.

About Us
Ravensworth Surgery is a practice with 3 partners, 2 long-term locum GPs, ACP, NP, PN, HCA, GPA, Practice Manager, APM, Administrator and 6 non-clinical care navigators, with a further 2 joining us shortly. We have just under 6000 patients. We prioritise staff wellbeing, work/life balance, and regular staff involvement and meetings. We are a training practice currently supporting an ST1 and student placements in medicine and pharmacy.

Job Description
