Role Description
This is a 32hrs per week position, on-site role for a Pharmacist located in Inverurie. The Pharmacist will be responsible for overseeing the dispensing of medications, consulting with healthcare providers, providing advice and information to patients, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, managing inventory, and overseeing pharmacy operations. Daily tasks will include processing prescriptions, monitoring patient health and progress, and recommending therapeutic alternatives. Additionally, the Pharmacist will ensure the accuracy of all pharmaceutical products and counsel patients on the proper use and potential side effects of their medications.
There is particular focus on the patient-facing element of Pharmaceutical services. At Will Chemists we have an excellent team of dispensers, technicians and accuracy-checking staff to enable Pharmacists time to consult with patients on a wide range of conditions. Support and training for clinics is encouraged.
Hours are 2 days at our Burghmuir Pharmacy, and 2 days at our West High Street Pharmacy per week. Saturday requirement - 1 half day and 1 full day per month. Number of days, start times and lunch breaks are negotiable.
Salary is based on experience and qualifications, typically between £50,000 and £60,000 FTE.
Normally working alongside other Pharmacists as well as a highly supportive team. Position reports to Pharmacist Manager and Lead Pharmacist.
5 weeks annual leave plus public holidays pro-rata.
Qualifications
* Expertise in dispensing medications and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards
* Strong communication skills to interact with healthcare providers and counsel patients
* Experience in managing inventory and overseeing pharmacy operations
* Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving skills
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a healthcare team
* A MPharm degree or equivalent
* Valid pharmacist license in the relevant jurisdiction
* Experience in a retail or hospital pharmacy setting is a plus
* Knowledge of medication therapy management and patient care
* Prior GPhC registration is mandatory, although we invite applications from Pharmacists due to register in the next 3 months.
