We are looking for a driven and experienced Manufacturing Engineer to join a dynamic Operations team. In this role, you will develop, implement, and maintain manufacturing and inspection methods to ensure effective use of materials, tooling, equipment, and personnel. You will play a critical role in supporting efficient production and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and document manufacturing and inspection processes for incoming materials, scanner assembly, and sub -assemblies
• Review new product designs and provide feedback to engineering when cost targets are exceeded
• Participate in supplier selection and review proposed design changes
• Document and improve manufacturing and inspection techniques
• Prepare reports on returned or rejected goods and recommend corrective actions
• Design and implement tools, fixtures, and procedures to improve efficiency and consistency
• Assist in training manufacturing and inspection personnel
• Act as a technical liaison among suppliers, production, materials, engineering, and planning teams
• Investigate and initiate corrective actions for manufacturing issues
• Support ISO9000 initiatives and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
• Collaborate with scheduling and production teams to plan activities and maintain labour standards
• Recommend alternative processes and tooling to increase productivity
• Monitor forecast and demand to ensure adequate manpower for production schedules
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field (BSME, BSIE, or equivalent)
• Experience in manufacturing engineering
• Proficiency in tools such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and other design software
• Familiarity with assembly and material handling practices
• Ability to read and interpret specifications, technical manuals, and engineering documentation
• Strong mechanical aptitude and manual dexterity for precision assembly tasks
• Effective communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
• Strong leadership skills, proactive mindset, and the ability to work independently
