This role is offered initially on a temporary basis, with the possibility to become permanent for the right person.You will support the wider finance function, ensuring the accurate and timely processing of the accounts payable function, with a particular focus on supplier and subcontractor invoices.The RoleYou will play an important role in maintaining the purchase ledger, managing supplier relationships, and supporting cash flow and reporting through accurate financial records. Working closely with internal departments and external stakeholders, you will help ensure efficient day-to-day financial operations.Key ResponsibilitiesProcess and post supplier and subcontractor invoices accurately and in a timely mannerPrepare, reconcile, and maintain supplier statements and ledger accountsManage the accounts payable inbox and associated communicationsLiaise with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure timely settlement of invoicesCoordinate with suppliers and internal departments to resolve invoice discrepancies and account queriesRespond to internal and external queries relating to invoices, payments, and account statusMaintain accurate and up-to-date accounts payable recordsEnsure compliance with internal controls, audit requirements, and financial policiesSupport finance audits and provide ad hoc assistance across the wider finance team as requiredSkills and Experience RequiredPrevious experience in an Accounts Payable, Purchase Ledger, or Finance Support roleExperience working with subcontractors and Construction Industry Scheme knowledge is highly desirableAbility to work independently while contributing effectively within a team environmentStrong communication skills with a professional and supplier-focused approachExcellent organisational, analytical, and problem-solving skillsExperience taking ownership of key finance processesKnowledge of payment processing tools and best practiceWhat's on OfferTemporary position with a view to possible permanent employmentSalary of 27,000Fixed weekday working hours with a choice of 8:00am-4:00pm or 9:00am-5:00pmOpportunity to gain experience within a supportive and structured finance teamInterested?
