Job Description:
Pfizer, one of the world’s leading biopharmaceutical companies, is currently seeking a Scientist for Drug Product Design at our facility in Sandwich, UK. The successful candidate will be part of a team focused on developing innovative drug products for patients with unmet medical needs.
Responsibilities
* Develop and execute drug product design strategies in collaboration with cross-functional teams
* Design and develop drug formulations for clinical trials and commercial launch
* Conduct laboratory experiments to assess drug product performance and stability
* Evaluate and select appropriate excipients, drug delivery systems, and processing technologies
* Participate in process optimization, scale-up, and technology transfer activities
* Author and review technical reports, regulatory documents, and intellectual property filings
Qualifications
* PhD in pharmaceutical sciences, chemical engineering, or related field with 0-2 years of industry experience, or Master’s degree with 3-5 years of industry experience
* Experience in drug product design, formulation development, and characterization
* Knowledge of pharmaceutical unit operations, process development, and scale-up
* Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
