As a ward hostess, you will help enhance patient well-being and their experience in the hospital. Working closely with hospital staff, you will be expected to deliver a high level of customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and stakeholders.

Main duties of the job
Ward Host (St Helier)
Role primarily based at St Helier Hospital
* Provide efficient food and beverage service to patients on wards, ensuring that food and beverages meet patients' medical, dietary, and cultural needs.
* Prepare service areas with necessary equipment, such as crockery, serving utensils, and condiments. Responsible for food preparation and production, maintaining high hygiene standards, and ensuring food served is accessible to patients.
Shift pattern includes evenings and weekends.

This ward host role is mainly based at St Helier Hospital. Our team members are expected to work across the trust, including Epsom and St Helier hospitals.
Having a driving license and access to a car is advantageous, but accessible via public transport as well.

Person Specification
Qualifications and Training
* Health & Safety Awareness
* NVQ Level 1 & 2 or equivalent
Experience
* Previous customer-facing work experience
* Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English
* Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions
* Effective oral and written communication skills
* Experience in a healthcare setting is preferable
