About the Role
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will support pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) within mainstream classrooms. Working closely with the SENCO and teachers, you will help ensure that all students can access learning effectively and thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
Key responsibilities include:
* Providing 1:1 and small group support in literacy, numeracy, and social skills
* Supporting students with ASD, ADHD, and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs
* Adapting lesson materials to suit individual learning needs
* Encouraging positive behaviour and engagement
* Acting as a positive role model to build confidence and independence

The Ideal Candidate

* Qualifications: Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or degree is a plus but not essential
