Location: St James C of E Infant & Nursery SchoolHours: 35 Hours a week, (part time hours negotiable for the correct candidate) Contract: Permanent, Term-time, Start ASAP St James C of E Infant and Nursery School prides itself in being an inclusive school. This has led to the development and opening of the ‘Blossom’ hub in 2024. The Blossom hub and its own secure learning area is to support children who may find it difficult to be in class throughout the whole school day. The role of the Inclusion Assistant is to support these children throughout the day with carefully planned transitions between the Blossom hub and the classroom. The Governors wish to appoint an enthusiastic and inclusive Inclusion Teaching Assistant to support children with additional needs across Foundation Stage and Key Stage 1. We are looking for someone who is: • open to learning new strategies; • experienced in using positive behaviour strategies to engage children in learning activities so their social and emotional skills are developed to support their readiness to learn; • has good communication, ICT and organisational skills; • passionate about the learning and development of children and creating opportunities for children to succeed and move their learning forward; • physically fit and mobile; • committed to inclusive education.
