Robert Half is working with a large construction business to recruit a permanent Finance Business Partner.
This is a broad commercial finance role within a sizeable, fast-moving business. The company is looking for someone who can do more than report the numbers. They need a Finance Business Partner who can challenge performance, improve forecasting, support integration work and give senior stakeholders the insight they need to make better decisions.
The Opportunity
You’ll be joining a multi-billion turnover group with a strong UK presence and ongoing change across the finance function. The role will suit someone who enjoys working close to the business, understands the demands of a large corporate environment, and can balance commercial insight with strong financial discipline.
Key areas of focus will include:
* Owning budgeting and forecasting activity for key business areas
* Producing clear analysis on performance, margin, costs and key financial drivers
* Partnering with operational and commercial teams to challenge assumptions and improve decision-making
* Supporting post-acquisition integration, including reporting alignment, controls and process improvement
* Preparing insight and commentary for senior finance and operational leadership
* Improving the quality of MI, dashboards and forward-looking analysis
* Working with group finance teams to ensure reporting is accurate, consistent and delivered on time
* Supporting wider finance projects linked to growth, integration and transformation
About You
* Qualified accountant, ACA, ACCA or CIMA
* Strong background in finance business partnering, FP&A or commercial finance
* Experience working in a large, complex or international business
* Confident with budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis
* Able to build credibility quickly with senior finance and non-finance stakeholders
* Comfortable challenging the business and translating numbers into practical actions
* Strong Excel and modelling skills
* Experience in an acquisitive or multi-site environment would be advantageous
