BMS Engineer | Niagara - £73,000 per annum | 5 Days Onsite | London
We're supporting a high-profile site in the appointment of a BMS Engineer to take ownership of the operation, maintenance, and optimisation of building management and control systems (BMS) within a technically complex environment. This role provides the opportunity to work across critical systems, with real responsibility for performance, compliance, and operational excellence.
This is a hands-on position, giving you oversight of both planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive works, ensuring systems operate efficiently, safely, and in line with client and legislative requirements. You'll monitor system performance, alarms, and environmental controls, carrying out diagnostics and system checks to maintain optimal operation across specialist areas.
You will act as a technical point of contact, collaborating closely with site-based engineering teams and client stakeholders, supporting day-to-day operations as well as emergency procedures. A key focus is on change control, ensuring documentation, software, and hardware changes are correctly managed, communicated, and approved. The role also involves reviewing alarm management strategies, supporting compliance activities, and carrying out technical and quality audits to ensure assets meet both statutory and operational standards.
In addition, you'll have hands-on responsibility for inspections, testing, maintenance, fault finding, and modification of mechanical and electrical plant, distribution systems, and associated equipment. You'll report into Engineering Leadership and the BMS / Controls Manager, escalating operational or compliance issues where required.
