We are working with a vibrant, diverse 11-16 secondary school in Middlesbrough seeking to appoint a Behaviour Specialist / SEMH Teacher to join their team on a long-term basis from September (or sooner), with the opportunity to secure a permanent position for the right candidate.
This is a highly rewarding opportunity to make a genuine impact on students who may be disengaged from learning or facing social, emotional, and mental health challenges.
You will:
* Deliver engaging lessons that reignite motivation and build confidence
* Work with a mix of smaller intervention groups and full class settings
* Use strong behaviour management strategies to create a calm and purposeful learning environment
* Support pupils to re-engage with education and achieve meaningful progress
* Play a key role in the school's pastoral and behaviour support systems
We are keen to hear from teachers who:
* Hold QTS (or equivalent teaching qualification)
* Have experience working with SEMH, challenging behaviour or disengaged learners
* Are confident, consistent, and capable of leading strong behaviour management
* Can build positive, trusting relationships with students
* Are passionate about making a lasting difference beyond academics
