We're also pioneering emerging technologies such as frictionless checkout, AI plate scanning, and robotics.We're now looking for an experienced Digital Project Manager to help deliver these industry-leading innovations and ensure that every project meets the needs of our business and our customers.The RoleReporting directly to the Head of Digital Products, you'll join the team responsible for shaping all customer-facing technology across Compass UK&I. You'll manage a multi-project digital portfolio, delivering projects to time, cost and quality while continually improving our project delivery approach.As a senior member of the team, you'll be a role model for project excellence—leading meetings, facilitating workshops, maintaining governance, and guiding stakeholders through complexity. You'll bring the confidence and communication skills needed to get the best from busy SMEs and cross-functional teams, whether remote or on-site.Although the role is based near Birmingham, we support hybrid working. Expect to spend 1–2 days per week at Parklands, Rubery for collaboration, team time—and great food and drink.Key ResponsibilitiesPlan, manage and deliver digital projects in line with business needs and functional specificationsEnsure projects are delivered on time, within scope, within budget and to a high standardAct as the primary contact for your project portfolio, managing plans and dependenciesProduce and maintain project documentation in line with PMO standards and provide regular updates to sponsors and stakeholdersPresent clear communications at all levels and lead project review meetingsWork with Product Managers to raise new digital demands, build business cases, and secure project fundingCollaborate with product, architecture, data, QA, offshore teams and third parties to launch and scale digital productsMaintain a proactive RAID log and drive timely mitigationsEnsure quality assurance practices are followed throughout the lifecycleSupport continuous improvement of change management processesPlan and ensure all business readiness activities are completed before go-liveOversee smooth handover to support teams and business ownersSkills & ExperiencePRINCE2 or Agile certification (or equivalent)Experience collaborating closely with Product Managers and understanding product lifecycleAbility to manage a multi-project portfolioProven success delivering large, complex or transformational digital projectsStrong facilitator with experience running engaging remote workshopsExperience delivering digital assets such as apps, websites, and platforms, working with development teams and third-party suppliersConfident stakeholder manager across multiple teams and functionsStrong understanding of project management tools and methodologies—Azure DevOps, Miro, Monday.com, Office 365, MS Project, Co-pilotExcellent organisational skills, able to manage multiple workstreams under pressureHigh integrity with the ability to handle confidential informationSelf-motivated and adaptable to changeCreative, continuous-improvement mindset with a focus on quality outcomesStrong influencing and persuasion skillsAnalytical, methodical problem solverBusiness analysis experience beneficialAwareness of data privacy, security and compliance considerations
