Join an award-winning European defence technology leader, recognised among the Top Ten “Very Big” Employers in the UK for workplace excellence. This is a fantastic opportunity to work at the forefront of electronic innovation, supporting the development and manufacture of next-generation systems used in some of the most advanced defence technologies in the world.

What you’ll be doing:

• Provide hands-on technical support to electronic design engineers, assisting with test, diagnostics, and fault-finding activities across analogue, digital, RF, and optical technologies.

• Support the design and manufacture of cutting-edge electronic subsystems — including missile computers, actuation systems, data links, telemetry systems, and seekers.

• Carry out testing, prototyping, qualification, trials, and acceptance activities in a state-of-the-art lab environment.

• Work with oscilloscopes, waveform generators, dataloggers, spectrum analysers, and other diagnostic equipment.

• Maintain accurate test documentation, contribute to data analysis, and support continuous improvement within production and development teams.

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineers and contribute to new product introduction and research programmes.

What we’re looking for:

Essential:

• HNC or equivalent qualification in an electrical or electronic discipline.

• Solid understanding of electronics fundamentals and applied mathematics.

• Practical experience with testing and fault-finding in a lab or production environment.

• Competence in using diagnostic tools such as oscilloscopes, waveform generators, and spectrum analysers.

• Strong organisational and record-keeping skills with good attention to detail.

Desirable:

• Experience supporting production or prototype environments.

• Familiarity with analogue, digital, RF, and optical technologies.

• Understanding of design processes, kitting logistics, and prototype progression.

• Confident communication and report writing skills.

What’s in it for you:

• Up to £2,500 company bonus (performance-based)

• Pension scheme with total contributions up to 14%

• Opportunity for paid overtime

• Up to 15 additional flexi-leave days

• Enhanced parental leave – up to 26 weeks for maternity, adoption, and shared parental leave, plus enhanced paternity, neonatal, and fertility treatment leave

• Excellent onsite facilities including subsidised meals, gym, café, and free parking

Take the next step in your electronics career with a globally respected organisation where hands-on innovation and professional development go hand in hand.
