Our client, a leading entity in the defence and security sector, is currently seeking a Synthetic Training Operator to join their team on a permanent basis. This role involves working with the Maritime Composite Training System (MCTS), a cutting-edge training platform used by the Royal Navy. This sophisticated platform provides state-of-the-art classroom and simulation training facilities for maritime warfare training in controlled environments. Key Responsibilities: Delivering flexible, multi-skilled support for Royal Navy maritime warfare training activities. Operating within various training environments including Warfare Team Trainer (WTT), Classroom Based Simulation Trainer (CBST), and Electronic Classroom Trainers (ECT). Ensuring effective use and control of MCTS through prompts, stimuli, and guidance. Creating immersive scenarios with realistic drills, procedures, and communications. Supporting simulator preparation, task-related administration, and data collection. Assisting instructors in generating student responses to simulated events. Monitoring system performance and gathering necessary data for system analysis. Ensuring compliance with company health, safety, and environmental procedures. Job Requirements: Experience in defence training and working knowledge of Royal Navy operations. Understanding of Royal Navy surface ship sensors and weapon systems. Familiarity with at least one current RN Command system (e.g., DNA2, CMS). Knowledge of RN Operations Room Action Information Organisation (AIO). Ability to contribute to the control and use of high-fidelity maritime warfare training environments. Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with instructors and staff.
