Are you a compassionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant looking for a rewarding role supporting children with special educational needs? Do you have experience working with pupils who have Autism, learning difficulties, or complex communication and medical needs?
Uniform Education is recruiting a caring and proactive SEN Teaching Assistant for a specialist school in Hayes. The school supports children with Moderate, Severe, and Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (MLD, SLD, PMLD), Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASC), and communication or sensory challenges, providing a highly structured and nurturing environment for each child to succeed.
About the Role:
As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:
 * 
 Support pupils’ learning, communication, and independence on a 1:1 or small group basis
 * 
 Assist teachers in delivering differentiated lessons tailored to individual needs
 * 
 Use visual supports, sensory-based approaches, and communication aids such as PECS or Makaton
 * 
 Encourage personal, social, and emotional development in a positive and consistent way
 * 
 Provide support with personal care and mobility where required
 * 
 Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and families to meet each pupil’s EHCP targets
 * 
 Help maintain a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment
What We’re Looking For:
 * 
 Experience supporting children or young people with SEN (essential)
 * 
 Understanding of Autism, SLD, or PMLD (desirable)
 * 
 Patient, empathetic, and enthusiastic approach to supporting learning
 * 
 Team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills
 * 
 Confidence supporting pupils with personal care or manual handling (training provided if needed)
 * 
 Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply via Uniform Education)
