Salary: £30,651.59 - £33,317.19 (pro-rata for part-time 21 hours/week, primarily office-based with potential for hybrid work)
Our client is a reputable Housing Charity that is evolving and expanding. They operate across multiple locations in and around London and have been established for over 100 years!
This role involves managing accounting duties related to the charity's income, with a focus on rent, service charges, and fundraised income such as trusts, grants, and individual donations.
Key Responsibilities:
Housing Income
* Accurately perform accounting tasks such as rent journals and data entry into the rent accounting system in a timely manner.
* Demonstrate knowledge of best practices in income management and debt collection, with a good understanding of Housing and Welfare Benefits.
* Collaborate with Housing to support vulnerable tenants by referring them to appropriate internal and external support agencies to ensure tenancy sustainability and meet tenants’ needs.
* Generate regular KPI reports to alert Housing of tenancy-related and other debts across the Foundation.
* Lead the production and distribution of rent statements.
* Assist in setting up new residents’ rent accounts within the housing software and maintain these accounts throughout the tenancy.
* Reconcile data to ensure all annual rent and service charges increases are correctly reflected in Pyramid.
* Support your line manager in calculating and reviewing Service Charges annually.
* Handle processing of all direct debits, standing orders, bank transfers, and card payments, ensuring accurate data entry into the housing database and tenant accounts.

Person Specification:
* Previous experience in finance administration with a keen eye for detail and numerical accuracy.
* Proficiency in Excel and housing management software for ledger manipulation and data interrogation.
* Experience in analyzing management information to support decision-making.
* Experience working in a charity or social housing environment is desirable.
