Are you an IT Project Manager with a keen ability to understand processes within the financial industry? If so, this position may be the right fit for you. Founders is seeking a dedicated individual with project management or project coordinator experience to join our Technical Project team.
Responsibilities
* Lead and oversee the planning and implementation of Information Technology projects, including creating project schedules with milestones, setting goals, planning, leading meetings, executing, and monitoring all aspects of the project.
* Provide structure and process to interactions so teams throughout the department can focus on technical tasks.
* Follow established project management principles, organize meetings, provide detailed project plans (timelines, milestones, resource allocation), and coordinate with business teams and risk assessments.
* Communicate with all team members, the business, vendors, and management on milestones, status, individual responsibilities, and risks while fostering a positive team environment.
* Lead project team meetings with focused agendas, upcoming milestone dates, and ownership of tasks.
* Track project performance and schedule adherence using approved project management tools; manage and lead multiple IT projects concurrently within scope and on time.
* Understand IT team roles, identify potential deficiencies that may impact project success, and coordinate meetings that involve subject matter experts, test plans, testing schedules, documentation, vendors, and process improvements.
* Meet with sponsors and system owners to identify requirements, delivery timelines, and costs; continuously inspect project milestones to stay on track with goals.
* Monitor tasks and milestones to ensure timely delivery; compile and submit status reports, minutes, and clear assignments with actionable due dates.
* Monitor KPIs and report project status to stakeholders and senior management; identify and mitigate risks and issues and take prompt corrective actions.
* Work closely with third-party vendors and internal teams for successful implementation; participate in vendor meetings to ensure open tasks move in the correct direction.
* Adhere to change control processes; engage with FIT, LLC customers and IT teams to ensure engagements are structured and objectives are met within agreed timelines.
* Comply with Founders’ policies and procedures and applicable laws and regulations (e.g., NCUA, FFIEC, GLBA, BSA); protect the privacy and integrity of information.
* All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
* Incumbents are required to obtain their PMP (Project Management Professional) certification within 2 years of hire date.
* A minimum of seven years’ work experience leading projects, with at least five years’ experience leading technical projects; prior project work with financial institutions is required.
* A bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, or information technology is required.
* Proven proficiency in Microsoft products.
* Excellent interpersonal, leadership, communication, and organizational skills; ability to explain technical information to technical and non-technical audiences; ability to build rapport and trust with team members, the business, customers, and vendors.
* Strong analytical and critical thinking skills; strong meeting practices; ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously; ability to work under time constraints.
* Evening and weekend work may be required based on departmental demands.
