Position Overview
Based in University of South Wales – Treforest Campus. This part‑time, fixed‑term post works on a national mentoring programme for the academic year 2026‑2027, using an existing online mentoring platform under the Reaching Wider Project within the Directorate of Marketing, Recruitment and Communications at Bangor University.
Key Responsibilities
* Recruit mentors and mentees for the national mentoring programme.
* Deliver and facilitate mentoring sessions via the online platform.
* Promote the programme to target cohorts and relevant stakeholders.
Qualifications and Experience
* Minimum of 2 AS Levels or 1 A Level or NVQ Level 4 in a relevant subject area.
* Experience of outreach engagement and/or mentoring programmes with Reaching Wider target cohorts in an educational context.
* Desirable ability to communicate in Welsh.
* Successful Disclosure & Barring Service check required.
Compensation
£30,805 to £37,174 p.a. pro rata (Grade 6).
Working Hours and Location
The role is based on campus at the University of South Wales, with a flexible Dynamic Working framework that may allow part‑time remote work within the UK. Commencement date: June 2026 (or as soon as possible thereafter). End date: 31 August 2027.
