Are you ready to join Mondelez's largest cocoa processing site and be part of the Cadbury supply chain? Safety is of the utmost priority in Mondelez, and we are looking to recruit a passionate safety leader to drive a positive safety culture within our Chirk Plant located in North Wales, just on the English border. Chirk is commutable from Chester, Shrewsbury, Wrexham, Telford, and Liverpool.
Along with your direct report, the site Safety Specialist, you will be responsible for leading the HS&E agenda for Chirk and driving a safety culture through engagement of our people. You will manage the delivery of all HS&E activities in behavioural safety and engagement, ensure compliance with Mondelez safety standards and procedures, and support the integration of HS&E into projects and modifications.
How you will contribute
* Develop the annual Safety, Environment and Sustainability improvement plans for the Chirk site with sponsorship from the Plant Manager and HSE Cluster Director.
* Develop HS&E strategy and agenda for the site through the Manufacturing Sections, participating in management reviews. Coach and support the Factory Leadership Team at all levels in delivery of their local HS&E agenda.
* Lead the HS&E Specialist and coach and provide strong support to the wider site.
* Drive and support the implementation of Mondelez International Safety, Security and Environment Standards, ensuring best practices are adopted and standardized action plans are implemented across the full site.
* Ensure relevant Safety, Security and Environment training requirements are identified for the site and appropriate training packages are developed and delivered to meet legal compliance.
* Drive safety culture through engagement and use of Integrated Lean Six Sigma tools.
What you will bring
* Experience as a Health, Safety and Environment Practitioner, preferably within a manufacturing or commercial environment.
* An agile and flexible approach.
* Strong people‑management experience.
* A willingness to make a difference.
* Experience of coaching individuals.
* Strong experience of implementing cultural change in an HS&E context.
* Demonstrated experience managing a team, change management and project management.
* Excellent interpersonal communication and influencing skills with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
* Experience with Health and Safety audit.
