Class 1 Driver
People Solutions are currently recruiting for a Class 1 Driver to join our well-established client based in Derby, Derbyshire. This is a fantastic opportunity offering great rates of pay and room to grow and progress.
Shifts: Monday to Friday:
AM: START TIMES BETWEEN 04:00 – 05:00
PM: START TIME 15:00
Pay rate: £16.66 - £20.82 per hour

Day to Day Duties
Your day to day duties as a Class 1 Driver:
* Driving Class 1 vehicles safely and efficiently to make 3 - 5 trunk runs a day
* Curtain side work
* Make on time deliveries
* Communicate with the transport team
* Follow Company policies and procedures
* Comply with driving rules and regulations
* Strapping loads correctly (awkward loads)
Essential Skills
* Hold a valid UK Category CE Driving Licence
* Hold UK CPC and UK Digital Tachograph Card
* Have a minimum of twelve months experience driving CE vehicles
* Maximum of six penalty points for minor infringements with no major endorsement codes
* Work in a professional manner
* Excellent communication skills
* 6 months experience required
Desirable Experience
* Experience in strapping abnormal loads would be beneficial as well as navigating tight delivery depots
Training
* You will be required to pass a driving assessment before attending a three-day company programme
* Industry related training and ongoing support throughout
